Help Us Help Them

A cat with a broken leg because kids threw rocks at her and shot her with a BB gun. Another cat with a broken leg; this one’s pregnant. A box of four cats dropped off at our front door; two of which are pregnant. Four cats we took back from an adopter due to unforeseen circumstances, all of which need major medical procedures and support.

As much as we wish we could, we can’t take back the suffering these cats have gone through, but we can give these cats the better life they deserve.

With your generous donation, we can save these cats and show them the love and care they need.

JUNE 18TH-Dove had her babies in someone’s shed back in May. When we picked her and her kittens up, they were all severely malnourished and sick. We got them into foster care and after a lot of TLC, they were still not getting bigger. Dove came back into our care, as she started rejecting her babies. We kept a close eye on her, and unfortunately she was diagnosed with panleuk a few days later. Her babies were returned to us to watch closer. One of her babies, Erica, passed away overnight on July 13th. We are doing everything we possibly can to try to save these babies, and that’s what we will continue to do until they’re big and strong.

APRIL 17TH-Zily and her three siblings had to be returned due to all four of them needing major dental surgeries. Unfortunately, the dental procedures they will need are very expensive so their owner had to bring them to us for help.

Here at PAL, we always take our cats back. Now, at no fault of anyone, we are raising funds to help these four sweet babies get the surgeries they need.

Strawberry is our very special girl. She was born in foster care with her five other siblings after her mom was found off the street, about ready to pop. When they were coming back to us to get ready for adoption, they all developed severe diarrhea. We fecal tested all of them, but the results were negative. We switched their food, gave supplements; nothing was helping. We retested them to find out they they had coccidia, a very common fecal parasite that initially presents as diarrhea, but can be dormant as it has on/off cycles. Since this diagnosis, we began treating Strawberry, her mom, and her four siblings. Strawberry and her sister, Boysenberry, suffered the worst of it all. Our team was providing extensive care, feeding them every couple of hours, and making sure they stay warm. Boysenberry sadly passed away during treatment, as her body just couldn’t handle the disease. Though Strawberry was even smaller and weaker than Boysenberry, we didn’t give up on her. After a month of supplements, medications, and TLC, Strawberry has started to eat on her own and gain her strength back. She is free of coccidia and any other parasite, and we will give her all the time she needs to get big and strong!
